To take advantage of the WRAP Program, you must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Your home had to be constructed and occupied prior to 31 December 2010. You must have a current and valid Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) that can be found on your utility bill.
  • You are replacing existing windows or doors.
  • You used a contractor registered with the SEAI for this installation.
  • The new windows and/or doors must meet a U-value of 1.4 W/m2K or better.
  • Your minimum HLI must be at or below 2.3 W/m2K after the upgrade.
  • A Building Energy Rating (BER) Assessment is required before applying for funding.
  • You must submit an application through SEAI’s online application process.

Step-by-Step Application Process :

  1. Check Eligibility: Ensure your property was built before 2011. You may need an up-to-date BER assessment to verify if your home meets the required insulation/heat loss standards.
    • If the home previously received SEAI grants for attic and wall insulation, then good insulation is in place.
    • Check your existing BER If your existing BER has an Advisory Report, check to see if your attic and wall insulation is ‘Good’ or ‘Very Good’.
    • If you still don’t know if your attic and walls have good insulation, get advice from a BER Assessor.
  2. Get Quotes: Contact an SEAI-registered contractor like Fabwindows. Obtain a detailed quote ensuring the new windows/doors meet the required U-value standard. Fabwindows offers windows with U-values ranging from 0.75 to 1.2 W/m²K, significantly surpassing the recommended grant requirement of 1.4 W/m²K.
  3. Apply for Grant: Submit your application through the SEAI online portal. Find it here https://hes.seai.ie/GrantProcess/ApplyForGrantAfterWizard.aspx
    • Important:Do not begin any work until you receive your formal grant offer.
  4. Complete Installation: Have the registered contractor like Fabwindows carry out the work.
  5. Post-Works BER: Arrange a mandatory post-works BER assessment to verify the improvement.
  6. Submit & Get Paid: Submit all required documentation to the SEAI to receive your payment.
    • Declaration of Works
    • Post-works BER
